Organizing your kitchen drawers effectively is one of the most important aspects of kitchen ergonomics. You want to have everything you need front and center, with the essentials in the back for easy storage. Since drawers tend to collect a lot of dirt and dust, they must be cleaned weekly.
It’s best to delegate each zone to cooking utensil type. E.g. one drawer can be filled with cutlery, another with pots and pans. This way you can have a mental map of your drawers. You also want to have them stack up by size so that you can reach for the larger ones in the back easily.
